Enable Smart Viber Notifications

In an instant when your friend is sending you a message after another, Viber will notify you each and every time, something that is rather annoying. The best solution to this is enabling Smart Notification. This feature combines all the messages into one notification. The feature can be enabled by navigating to chat room where you want to enable it, swipe to the left and it will appear.

Switching Between Viber Conversations

When you are simultaneously talking to multiple people, it can be rather hard to keep up with all these conversations as you will have to switch between the chats faster. To simplify this, you can consider going to the chat room of the previous conversations and proceed by swiping to the right side of your device’s screen. All the active chat rooms will appear here. Tap on the group or contact chat name to switch between them.

Turn Off Viber Notifications

You can turn off notification when at work or sleep and you don’t want to be bothered with them. Consider navigating to the main page and then tap on the Navicon. You should then choose ‘Settings’ and turn off every option you see in the notification. This implies that you will have disabled every notification for Light Screen for messages, Show message preview, Contact Joined Viber, and New Message popup.

Deleting Viber Messages in a Conversation

You can choose to delete the messages that you want to get rid of from the chat rooms. Note that these messages will only be deleted from your device, as they will still appear on the device of your friend. In any case, if you want to delete a message, consider navigating to the chat room and then tap and hold on the message that you want to delete. This option can also be used to edit a message, by tapping the Navicon and then selecting edit Messages.

Accessing Viber Conversations Gallery

If you want to view the videos and photos that have been sent to you by your friends without necessarily going to chat history, you can choose to go to the Conversation Gallery. It can be accessed on the chat room that you received them (photos or videos) from.
